What streetwear brands usually need

Streetwear depends on weight, fit and decoration. Brands come to us for heavyweight garments, bold decoration, custom fits, and their own labels and packaging, often in small first drops that still have to look and feel like a finished brand.

Fit is part of the design: oversized, boxy and drop-shoulder blocks are cut from your tech pack or a reference garment, and the sample is where you sign the fit off. Cutting, sewing and finishing run in-house; embroidery, screen print, heat transfer and sublimation run at vetted partner units, with proofing and sample approval managed in-house.

Labels and packaging finish the drop. Woven, printed or tagless heat-transfer labels, polybags and custom mailers are options on the product pages, confirmed per order during the RFQ.

Print durability, fabric weight and small drops

The common worries are print durability, fabric weight accuracy and whether a factory will take a small first drop seriously. Our answer is heavyweight fleece programs, decoration proofed on the production fabric, and a 25-unit minimum that makes a first capsule realistic.

Proofing on the production fabric matters because a print approved on a different fabric can sit, crack or change colour differently on the real garment. On weight, inbound fabric inspection checks GSM, shade and shrinkage. If you send a swatch or reference garment, we counter-sample the closest available fabric and state the exact GSM and composition before you approve. Hoodie fabric also goes through a pre-production wash test per fabric lot to control shrinkage.

As general background: GSM (grams per square metre) is a property of the fabric, and washing or garment dyeing can change both weight and size slightly. That is why weight and shrinkage are checked before cutting, not after.

Product families for a streetwear range

Each product page has the full specification. Decoration options across these families include screen print, puff and high-density print, embroidery, chenille patches and appliqué. These are the families streetwear brands usually build drops from:

  • Hoodies: brushed fleece and loopback French terry from 280 to 450 GSM; heavyweight 450 GSM fleece is knitted to order, with garment-dye and vintage-wash options.
  • T-shirts and tank tops: T-shirts from 160 to 240 GSM in oversized and boxy fits; ribbed, muscle, racerback and drop-armhole tanks.
  • Shorts and jeans: sweat, cargo, mesh and denim shorts; straight, baggy, wide-leg and carpenter jeans with custom washes and hardware.
  • Bomber jackets and tracksuits: flight-satin and patch-heavy bombers with custom ribbing; matched fleece, French terry or tricot tracksuit sets cut from one fabric lot.

How a first drop works, from 25 units

The minimum is 25 units per order, split across sizes as you need. Stock fabric colours and one or two decoration positions keep a first drop simple. Heavyweight custom-knit fabric, garment dyeing and wash effects run in batches, so the quote states any batch minimum and its effect on timing.

  1. Send your tech pack or a reference garment with your RFQ. You receive an acknowledgement with a reference ID, then a technical reviewer replies.
  2. Fabric weight, colour, fit, decoration and labels are confirmed during the RFQ, and the quote states the timing for your quantity.
  3. Sample development takes a minimum of 1–2 weeks. Decoration is proofed on the production fabric, and you approve the sample.
  4. Bulk is checked inline and inspected against the approved sample before it is packed with your labels and packaging.

Frequently asked questions

Can you make 450 GSM heavyweight hoodies?

Yes. Heavyweight 450 GSM fleece is knitted to order, so plan for the longer timing stated in your quote, and expect a batch minimum for custom colours, which we confirm during the RFQ.

Is 25 units enough for a first drop?

Yes. The minimum is 25 units per order, split across sizes. What adds setup is custom-dyed fabric, garment dyeing, washes and many print positions; the quote explains any of these.

Can shorts or joggers match a hoodie?

Yes. Shorts can be cut from the same fabric lot as a matching top so the set matches in shade, and tracksuit jackets and pants are cut from one lot. Specify it in your RFQ.

How do you check that a print will hold up?

Decoration is proofed on the production fabric, not a substitute, and you approve it on the sample before bulk. Printing runs at vetted partner units with proofing and approval managed in-house, and the final inspection is made against the approved sample.
