Clothing manufacturer for startups and new brands, from 25 units

You have a sketch, a reference garment or a tech pack and need to know whether it can be made, what it involves and what a realistic first order looks like. We review manufacturability before sampling, explain the minimum honestly and work sample-first, so you approve a garment before any bulk fabric is cut.

Product pages

Start with what you have

If you have a tech pack, send it for a manufacturability review: we flag construction, fabric and decoration issues before sampling rather than after. If you only have a sketch, a photo or a reference garment, upload it through 'Can you make this?'. We map it to the closest product family and advise on construction.

Where the idea still needs development, our pattern room drafts the block, sources fabric options and iterates fit samples with you until the specification is locked. That specification is documented and belongs to your brand. Our guide to preparing a tech pack explains what to include if you want to write one yourself.

Making sure your design is read correctly

Many misunderstandings between a new brand and a factory come from vocabulary. A 'drop shoulder', a 'double-lined hood' or 'flight satin' means something specific on the production floor. Our garment construction glossary sets out these terms so your brief and our feasibility notes use the same language. Fit works the same way: a measurement sheet with a tolerance for each point of measure removes guesswork that a photo alone cannot.

Each sample revision is documented with photos and measurements, so approval is a matter of record. The signed pre-production sample locks the specification, and final inspection checks bulk garments against that sample, not against memory.

The minimum and the cost, translated honestly

The minimum is 25 units per order, split across sizes as you need. A first run of 25 hoodies across S to XL is a real order, not a special exception.

Some choices carry their own supplier minimum, and we name them in the quote rather than hide them: custom-dyed fabric, custom-knit striped ribbing on bomber jackets, and heavyweight 450 GSM fleece knitted to order. Leather jackets are cut hide by hide, so per-unit cost reflects hide grading and cutting yield.

We do not publish a price list. You receive an itemised quotation for your quantity once the specification is confirmed, so you can see what drives the cost before you commit. Before that, the feasibility notes already cover construction, fabric direction, decoration method and what each choice means for the minimum.

A low-risk first-sample workflow

The sequence is built so you commit to bulk only after you have held the garment.

Many new brands start with hoodies or T-shirts, where fabric weight, fit and print decide the result. Bomber jackets and leather jackets involve more trims, linings and panel work, so the sample stage matters even more there. Whatever the garment, the steps are the same.

  1. Send your tech pack, sketch or reference. You get an acknowledgement with a reference ID.
  2. A technical reviewer replies with feasibility notes, clarifying questions or a quotation.
  3. We develop the sample, which takes a minimum of 1–2 weeks from locked inputs, then photograph it and ship it to you.
  4. You sign off or send revision notes. The approved sample locks the specification.
  5. Bulk is cut, sewn and finished in-house, with decoration at vetted partner units and three quality gates: inbound fabric, inline and final inspection.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a finished tech pack?

No. Upload a sketch, photo or reference garment through 'Can you make this?' and we map it to a product family. Our pattern room can develop the specification with you, and it remains yours.

What is the minimum order for a new brand?

25 units per order, split across sizes. Custom-dyed fabric, custom-knit ribbing or heavyweight fleece knitted to order can carry a supplier minimum, which we state in the quote.

What will my first order really cost?

We do not publish prices, because fabric, construction, decoration and quantity all change the figure. Once the specification is confirmed you receive an itemised quotation for your quantity.

How long does sampling take?

A minimum of 1–2 weeks from locked inputs. That is a planning minimum, not a promise: complex garments and revision rounds extend it. Bulk timing is quoted per project.
